ECKMIER

CO-FOUNDER | HEAD STRENGTH & POWERLIFTING COACH

Strength changed Mel's life. Today, her mission is to help others discover what they're truly capable of—both inside and outside the gym

Since stepping onto the competition platform in 2018, Mel has become a respected competitive powerlifter, competing in the WPC, WRPF, and CPL. Through years of dedication to the sport, she earned an Ontario Provincial Bench Press Record, competed alongside some of Canada's strongest athletes, and continues to push herself to improve with every training cycle.

As an active competitor in Classic Raw and Raw Powerlifting, Mel understands exactly what it takes to prepare for competition, refine technique, manage meet-day pressure, and perform when it matters most. Alongside her competitive experience, she has developed extensive knowledge of equipped lifting, allowing her to coach athletes interested in every stage of the sport.

As Co-Founder of Skywolf Barbell, Mel has helped build a community where athletes of every background feel welcomed, challenged, and supported. Whether someone is touching a barbell for the very first time, working toward a healthier lifestyle, or preparing for their next competition, she believes every athlete deserves individualized coaching and unwavering support.

Mel's coaching extends far beyond the squat, bench press, and deadlift. She has developed extensive knowledge in strength development, mobility, injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, dynamic warm-ups, stretching, movement quality, recovery strategies, and sports nutrition. Her goal is to help every athlete not only become stronger, but also move better, stay healthier, reduce the risk of injury, and build confidence that carries over into everyday life.

Known for her attention to detail and genuine passion for helping others succeed, Mel takes pride in building strong relationships with every athlete she coaches. She believes the best results come from education, consistency, trust, and creating an environment where people feel empowered to push beyond what they once believed possible
